Emil Zátopek the, „Czech Locomotive“ is the legendary holder of 18 world records. His crowning achievement was winning gold in the 5 km, 10 km and marathon. No one has repeated his success and experts doubt that it will ever be repeated.
Zátopek is a biographical film as told through the relationship Ron Clarke (an Australian record holder) with his mentor Emil Zátopek. The story begins with Zátopek as a weak boy who transforms into adulthood to be the three-time gold medalist at the 1952 Olympics. Emil’s unbelievable performance in Helsinki continues to inspire runners around the world.
